TKLA Primary School lays strong academic foundations from Grade 1, giving every learner the knowledge, skills and confidence they need to thrive. Our CAPS-aligned curriculum is taught by dedicated, qualified educators who know each child individually, shaping lessons that bring out the best in every learner.

From the first day of Grade 1 to the final days of Grade 6, our goal is whole-child development: academic excellence, creative expression, physical activity and a genuine love of learning. Every learner leaves our Primary School fully prepared for High School and all that lies ahead.

Our approach

How we teach

01

Strong academic foundations

From Grade 1 we build the literacy, numeracy, and reasoning skills that underpin every subject and every year of learning that follows.

02

CAPS curriculum

Our curriculum follows the national CAPS framework, delivered with rigour and care, giving every learner a solid, recognised qualification at every grade.

03

Dedicated educators

Qualified, passionate teachers who know every child by name, adapting their approach to meet each learner where they are and stretching them further.

04

Critical thinking

We create space for questioning, reasoning, and problem-solving, so our learners develop the thinking habits that serve them for life, not just for tests.

05

Digital learning

Technology supports teaching and learning at TKLA Primary, helping learners build digital skills from an early age that will serve them through High School and beyond.

06

Seamless pathway to High School

Our Primary and High School share one ethos and one community — making the move to Grade 7 a natural, well-supported step forward.
