“Education Enlightens” equates “Education is the Pathway to Success” and nowhere is it more evident than in Tersia King Learning Academy Primary School’s overall performance of 2018!

An average passrate of 90% throughout the year, participation in the International BRICKS Maths Competition and the South African Quintathlon, are only some of our academic highlights, with our Prizegiving Ceremony being the crowning glory with more than half of our learners receiving cerificates of merit and / or trophies.

Both our Lego/Robotics teams walked away with the laurels, as the Junoir team was appointed “Best Team Of the Day” in the Nationwide Junior Lego League competition and our Senior, or FLL teaM, received the honour of being invited overseas, to participate in the First Lego League Open International competition to be held in Lebanon in 2019.

We are extremely proud of them and wish them all the best!

On extra – mural level our Junior Choir won 4th position out of 150 participants in the Sing in Harmonie Competion which was
broadcast nationwide, add to that our 42 golden medals won at the Lethabo Festival, the “Blanket Drive” on Madela Day and the monetary donation made to the Kempton Park SPCA are but a few of our endeavours throughout the year,.

Our outings and fundays are legendary and the staffs’ way of showing our appreciation to our learners, whether it involves touching snakes at Croc World … or braving midnight mosquitoes at the grade 5 camp, it’s the stuff lasting memories are made of.

Our holistic approach, to which excellent teachers, willing learners, love and caring are added, makes easy work of our Primary School motto: “SHINE TKLA SHINE!”
